The First Time

This time last year I was in active labor, about to be terribly annoyed by Jimmy Kimmel.

(The contractions were bad enough, but to have to hear him in the background while giving birth to my second child was agony!)

So of course I'm on a sentimental kick right now. The past year's ups and downs and ups, the smiles, the cries, the screams, the laughs.... the silliness that happens when Deuce and Alexis get to really playing together. And they do play together, quite well.

So the picture above is from the first time I truly held my little girl. Now just a few hours shy of being exactly a year ago.
