A Day "BY" the Museum

Alexis didn't have school this past Monday because of the Thanksgiving holiday, so me and a family friend, whose son is also in Alexis' class, thought it would be a great idea to take our kids to a local museum.

I got Deuce off to school, came back and did Alexis' hair, packed some food in my mini-backpack for her, and headed out... on time! Amazingly enough, I was able to get a close parking space, which is great since I'm not the best parallel-parker, and my friend was able to park right behind me. Paid for parking, walked around the building, and then tried to open the doors... which were locked.

Neither of us remembered that the museum is closed on Mondays. Oh well.

So in an effort to get "something" out of the parking spaces we paid for, we decided to go over to a great little sandwich spot, then came back and let the children run around in the museum's courtyard area. The children had A BALL! Both of them were running back and forth, climbing the rocks in the area.... Alexis even had a wonderful time playing with the bike rack!

All of this fun... and it was free!

But next time we'll go on a Thursday...
